On Aug 17 we left PEI and drove to Shediac, NB which is about 20 minutes from Moncton Airport. The girls were booked on a 5:45 am flight out on the 18th. We decided they would take a taxi to the airport to save me from having to pack up the motorhome at 4:30 in the morning!
Anyway, our last night was spent at the Wishing Star campground right on Shediac Bay and across the road from the World's Largest Lobster.

I love these coloured houses in Shediac. We walked past them on our way to our "last supper" at Gabrielle's. We sat on the screened deck and listened to the guitar player while we ate chowder and Coqille St. Jacques and watched the sun set on Shediac Bay. What a fitting end to the trip together.
As I sit here typing this I am looking at my fingernails and realize that I didn't tell you about Cayly's treat for us. On our first night together we lacquered our nails using a black light to harden the lacquer. It was supposed to last 2 weeks and mine has. I didn't take pictures but we had some fun choosing colours and stepping outside the box by doing feature nails. Seems little in retrospect but it was a stretch for me to decide to be different and stand out with my nail polish. I/we often have no idea how deep the rut I/we live in really is.
I am so grateful to have had so much time with Cayly and Keenan. They both have busy lives of their own with partners and jobs. It is really special to me for them to take the time to be with me on this journey. Part of the reason for doing it together was to celebrate our 60th, 30th & 25th birthdays this year. Significant milestones in our lives.
How wonderful to be able to do it together! I love you both so much!
