Cordury, my wheels & Me

Hello to Nova Scotia

On the 21st when I left Moncton, I filled up with gas which turned out to have more than 10% ethanol in it.  My big old engine with its carburetor didn't like that at all.  On the way to Amherst, NS it was uphill, with a wind and no engine power.  By the time I got to the border info centre I was exhausted!

I called Canadian Tire and they suggested a fuel additive that simulates lead and increases octane.  It sputtered along for the rest of the day but the next day it was fine.  What a relief that it wasn't anything worse than that.

It was so windy entering Nova Scotia that I thought I might lose control of the motorhome.  I think that's the worst wind I have ever driven in.  Apparently it blows like that almost all the time in that area which means that's no place for me.  I hate gusty wind!!

Flags standing straight out at the NS Information Centre
I drove past Halifax and went to Indian Harbour which is near Peggy's Cove.  I stayed on the ocean at King Neptune's campground for the night and caught some nice sunset photos.

When I woke up in the morning it was foggy and rainy.  That was disappointing because I wanted to see Peggy's Cove and Lunenburg that day.  With the rain I stayed inside for the morning and finally headed over to the Cove around noon.
