10 Days Behind

One thing you should know about my blog; when I'm doing things, I'm not blogging.  I left off in Grand Falls, NB on Aug 12.

We had been looking for propane for the motorhome's attached tank since Ontario and finally found it in Fredericton area.  What a relief because the fridge runs on propane when I'm driving. It seems that regulation and taxation changes in Ontario and Quebec discouraged most dealers from selling bulk propane (the kind a propane vehicle would need) and now most just exchange tanks for BBQs.  This is frustrating example of how government decisions impact people in a domino effect.

We camped in Fundy National Park which felt a lot like national parks in the rockies.  We wanted to have a fire and didn't think to get a picture of me getting firewood with my bike.  I had the front basket and both panniers full.  With that much wood, it was too heavy to ride it so I had to push it all the way back - up hill.  Cayly got the fire going and wanted to have pictures to prove to Justin that she can build a fire.  Here she is being proud of her work.

Since we were on our way to PEI, we didn't spend time in Fredericton (I will later) but Cayly did want to see the Hopewell Rocks (made more famous by NB songwriter David Myles' song: Don't Drive Through).  My camera batteries died so Cayly and Keenan have the photos of this but you can see where we were in the first 30 seconds of this NB promotional video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMbJBe91PvE
