Off the Beaten Path

I had decided to stay off the main highways as much as possible so after leaving Plessisville I headed SE kind of parallel to the Trans Canada.

Here's a pretty farm photo from that area.  This is dairy country and it smelled like cow manure everywhere.  There are the Appalachians again.

Stone houses like this one were pretty common.

I really like the slower pace of driving and being able to sense the different culture and expressions of the people there.
