In and Around Town

I walked around the little town of Peggy's Cove.  It is a quaint looking place with almost every building along the road to the lighthouse offering things to buy.  Lots of craft shops with very nice things and a few places selling the "made in China" stuff.  The place I liked the best was not on the road but down a path.  Here is a picture from across the harbour.

Wharf Hags had some really nice weaving for sale.  I resisted :-(

I figure the owner of this boat must be about 60 years old because it looks like its been sitting here for 5 years!

The harbour must look a lot more picturesque when the tide is in.  Since I am here near the end of August, I also notice that the people and businesses are winding down on the tourist trade.  Stock is not replenished and the events advertised in brochures are over now.

When life gives you lemons - make lemonade.  When life gives you rocks - make sculpture!

It depicts the work, the bounty, and the spiritual aspects of Peggy's Cove
